Senior Functional Inks & Printed Electronics Scientist
Gnanomat is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Scientist specialised in functional inks, rheology and formulation to strengthen its printed electronics and advanced materials activities.
The selected candidate will play a key technical role in the design, optimisation and scale-up of complex ink and slurry formulations, directly contributing to the consolidation and industrial development of Gnanomat’s conductive and functional inks product line.
The role will also be actively involved in the development of advanced materials used in Gnanomat’s energy-storage devices.
The role
As Senior Functional Inks and Printed Electronics Scientist, you will lead formulation activities and support the transition of laboratory developments into pilot and production environments. You will work closely with R&D, process and production teams, contributing both to internal technology programmes and to collaborative international projects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design of advanced formulations and the control of dispersion of complex material systems.
- Perform rheological and physicochemical characterisation of inks and slurries.
- Drive scale-up activities from laboratory to pilot plant and production.
- Develop and optimise conductive inks and electrode slurries.
- Define technical specifications and quality criteria for formulated products.
- Provide technical support to production and to R&D projects.
Candidate profile
- PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated industrial experience in the formulation of functional inks, coatings or slurries.
- Strong expertise in rheology, dispersion processes and formulation stability.
- Senior professional profile, with high level of autonomy and the ability to provide technical leadership.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Desirable experience
- Experience with materials for batteries or supercapacitors.
- Experience with industrial coating and/or printing processes.
