Senior Engineer – Energy Storage Cell Design & Electronics Integration

Gnanomat is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineer specialised in energy-storage cell design and electronic system integration to join its technology and product development team.

This position will play a key role in defining device architecture, mechanical and electronic integration, and in supporting the industrialization of next-generation energy-storage products.

The role

As Senior Engineer for Energy Storage Cell Design and Electronics Integration, you will be responsible for the technical definition of cell and device architectures, the integration of control and power electronics, and the optimisation of performance, safety and reliability at device, module and system level.

You will work closely with materials scientists, electrochemists and process engineers to translate laboratory developments into robust, industrial-ready products.

Key responsibilities

  • Design of energy-storage cells and definition of their mechanical and constructive architecture.
  • Integration of control, protection and performance-optimization electronics.
  • Specification and integration of BMS or equivalent management and monitoring systems.
  • Optimization of device performance, safety and reliability.
  • Contribution to the design and development of modules and complete systems.
  • Technical support to validation, certification and industrialization processes.

Candidate profile

  • University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or related disciplines).
  • Proven experience in the design and development of energy-storage devices.
  • Strong background in power electronics and control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of BMS or similar management systems.
  • Senior, product-oriented profile with a strong focus on industrialization.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with supercapacitors and/or advanced battery technologies.
  • Experience in the development of modules and complete energy-storage systems.
